'Jersey Shore' New Season: Burning Questions We Want Answered

From Deena drama to the duck phone, here are five things we hope to clear up when the show returns on Thursday.

Previously, on "Jersey Shore": Snooki, the Situation and the rest of the roomies survived a GTL-filled tear through Miami Beach — motor-boating Jell-O shot girls at night, serving up gelato flavors in the bleary morning — and packed up to head back to Seaside Heights.

They brought plenty of baggage with them. When "Jersey Shore" picks up again on Thursday with the premiere of the show's new season, there will be many lingering questions left over from the reality stars' time down south. Before this season's final fist-pump, here are five questions we hope to have answered:

Will Sammi and Ronnie Make It Work?
The drama between these two lovebirds — by turns crabbily thin-skinned and candidly raw — has provided the show with much of its dramatic energy for two seasons. Sam and Ron ended the second season just as they ended the first: together and in love. But the up-and-down pair is as addicted to relationship conflict as they are to maintaining their tans. No doubt they'll engage in some (irrational) brawling. Whether they'll survive a summer of Shore temptation remains to be seen.

Will Deena Hook Up With Anyone in the House?
According to early previews, it only takes new castmate Deena Nicole Cortese one day in the house to bare her ladyparts to the Situation. Sitch, in turn, compared Deena to Thanksgiving, saying the woman has a lot of love to give. Will the duo end up with carnal knowledge of each other? Stay tuned.

Will Angelina Show Up?
When it comes to her opinion of her former "Shore" roomies, Angelina may be firmly on the record as hating "of all youze." Yet for all her tough talk, the hot-tempered Staten Island-native has managed to pop up on each of the first two seasons of the show before scrambling off in a profanity-laced tantrum. She's known both to frequent Seaside Heights and to thrust her mug in front of every camera she can find. Could a chance encounter at the club translate into some ex-roomie drama?

Will the Duck Phone Return?
Yes, the first season introduced us to Sitch and Snickers, but the true breakout star of the inaugural shows was undoubtedly the duck phone. The phone didn't make the trip to Florida, but we have a feeling it's been safe and sound in the Seaside house and will announce its presence early and often with a defiant quack. The jury's out on whether Snooki will ever get an answer to her first-season question, "What the f--- kind of person gets a duck phone to talk on?"

Have We Seen the Last of the Boys' Girls?
When left the "Shore" gentleman in Miami, Vinny was swooning for a go-go dancer and Pauly D was (mostly) swearing off random hookups in favor of (irregular) monogamy. Did these dudes forget about their women once they headed back north? Or might these ladies show up again? And hey, what about that Israeli girl who fell for Pauly in season one and stalked his whole freakin' life?
