Former NBA star was beat out by consistent low-scorer Bristol Palin.

After being told on Monday night that he'd danced his best so far on the show, former NBA star Rick Fox was eliminated on Tuesday night's "Dancing With the Stars." The elimination was revealed in the show's final minutes, when it was down to Fox and his partner Cheryl Burke vs. Disney star Kyle Massey and his partner Lacey Schwimmer.
Judges thought it was another surprise elimination, considering that consistent low-scorer Bristol Palin is still in the running and continues to get spared. Last week, judges were shocked when former "Hills" reality star Audrina Patridge was sent packing.
Once Fox, who was dressed in a green suit, heard he was getting the ax, he smiled and embraced his dance partner, who said she has an "amazing job, working with a tall, jolly, green giant."
"It's been amazing. It's been a transformational journey for my relationship with my girlfriend and with my daughters," Fox, who is dating actress Eliza Dushku, said. "What I'll take out of this competition is a friendship with Cheryl and, hopefully, 15 to 20 new dance moves."
Tuesday night's music performers included Taylor Swift, Rod Stewart and the cast of "Mary Poppins." "DWTS" celebrated its 200th show on Monday night, and on Tuesday, in the spirit of Election Day, they handed out awards to past celebrity dancers.
Next week's show will challenge the dancers' rhythm. They'll know their routines beforehand, but they won't know which songs they'll actually be dancing to until they're on air.
